Position summary
The Office Assistant is responsible for general administrative and front-desk reception support for the Company. The Office Assistant is the point of contact for on-site day-to-day business operations that includes a diverse set of responsibilities. The Office Assistant provides administrative assistance in support of scientific laboratory operations. The Office Assistant anticipates needs, is proactive, and provides excellent customer service.

Essential job functions and duties
  • Act as point of contact to employees for on-site operational issues and provide assistance.
  • Receive packages and deliveries from vendors and deliver to the recipient.
  • Provide shipping support to the laboratory scientists when required.
  • Greet visitors and coordinate with the employee hosting the visitor.
  • Provide inventory and purchasing assistance and coordination for laboratory, office, and breakroom supplies.
  • Coordinate company event logistics, on-site needs, and work orders for property management company.
  • Assist laboratory management with general administrative duties, such as organizing inventory, coordinating lab equipment maintenance with vendors and providing general lab-related operational assistance.
  • Arrange for catering and set up and clean up for on-site meetings/events; assist with room reservations and audio/visual set up and troubleshooting.
  • Provide conference room audio/visual technical assistance and troubleshooting as required.
  • Coordinate with HR on new hire onboarding including initial set up of computer and workstation.
  • Assist HR with on-site candidate interview and scientific seminar scheduling and coordination.
  • Perform other duties as required by business needs.
Minimum required qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 software programs, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Some prior office/administrative experience is preferred.
  • High level of customer service focus.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Able and willing to work on-site five days per week during regular business hours.
  • Self-motivated team player able to anticipate needs and proactively help a diverse and growing team.
Non-standard work schedule, travel or environmental requirements
The position is based on-site, 5 days per week in San Diego, CA.

Compensation & Benefits
Radionetics has a competitive total compensation package that includes bonus opportunity; equity; medical, dental, vision, life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; 4 weeks of paid time off (PTO) annually; and generous paid holidays.

Pay Range:  $20.00 - $29.80 per hour
Radionetics evaluates a variety of factors in determining individual pay decisions, which may include relevant education, experience, and skills; internal equity; complexity and responsibility of the role; and market demand relative to the position. Geographic location may also be a consideration in evaluating salary when candidates work in states outside of California.
